Murder and art featured at 4th Friday: Gussie at Augustina’s Winery will host a murder mystery game. PHOTO BY BARBARA HARDT[/caption]
Susan Green, co-owner of Very Nice Brewing Company, is excited to announce the second annual 4th Friday Artwalk, started in 2022 by Roz Bagtaz of the Kaleidoscope Fine Arts Gallery. July is the second month of the summer of art, and it will once again be held at Caribou Village Shopping Center. The event is meant to encourage more people to visit the various businesses in the town’s largest complex.
The shopping center tenants will host various fun activities during the event, including live music, sidewalk food vendors (such as Peace, Love, and Cake), and artwork browsing. There will also be various art demonstrations hosted at different places, a murder mystery game hosted by Augustina’s Winery, and string demonstrations hosted at Brightwood Music.
This year, Green has been behind the scenes for the events, sending emails to various businesses to check in with them and promoting the business events on social media. She loves seeing the shopping center crowded with people, and she loves being able to spread the word to allow more businesses to gain exposure for their efforts. She hopes that people who come to the shopping center will see how nice of a town Nederland is to live in and visit, and that the event itself continues to grow each and every year.
The remaining events will take place on July 28, August 25, and September 22, 2023. The event will start at around 5 p.m. and continue into the evening, with the time of each business’s closure differing throughout the shopping center. Head to the Caribou Village Shopping Center, located at 20 East Lakeview Drive in Nederland, to check it out for yourself!
