Our Summer 2021 Art at the Center show features 15 artists, with some emerging artists showing their work for the first time. Come meet the artists, vote for your favorite pieces of art, listen to music and enjoy a fun community gathering.
Loren Merrill returns with his beautiful wildlife photography. Nancy Kirkendall is showing her cold wax and oil paintings. Oil painter Evan Cantor has been busy painting Colorado landscapes. Max Krimmel continues to surprise us with his versatility, and will have a couple of acrylic and mixed media pieces. Lorelei Stumbo has unique wood sculptures. Serene Karplus will have new photos of nature scenes.
Working in watercolor, Lee Kennedy shows her love of flowers in her work. Lisa Navarre depicts local scenes in her watercolor landscapes. Watercolorist Annie Thayer has been working on florals and seascapes (and dragons!). Theresa Jordan will be sharing some of her new watercolor paintings.
New to Art at the Center are Barb Henderson, Mary Waddell, and Maddie Perry - all working in watercolor. We are so excited to have them join us! Other artists may join us as well. Come find out who they are!
We are pleased to have Jim McVey providing music for us on his keyboard. Besides being a wonderful musician, Jim is also the author of several books, and is the director of Victory Gardens.
Light refreshments will be served. Bring your friends and family for a fun evening.
We look forward to seeing you on July 8, at the Nederland Community Center located at 750 North Highway 72 in Nederland.
