A tribute to Nedfest founder Michigan Mike Torpie in the form of an
old-school Nederland Acid Jazz session takes place Friday, Dec. 16 at Shine
(2027 13th Street - between Pearl and Spruce) in Boulder. The
improvisational jam features Dave Watts, Scott Messersmith, Bill Kopper,
and Kerwin Brown and other guests. The cover is only a $3 suggested
donation. The new venue is "gathering place for food, movement and
nightlife" and is owned by the Emich sisters who ran the Trilogy Wine Bar.
It features "amazing (and affordable)" food including grass-fed beef
burgers, lasagna, tacos, plenty of veggie and vegan items and an entire
gluten free menu.
