Barbara Lawlor, Nederland.  The Nederland High School boys’ basketball team played two games in the past week and lost both of them to the Huskies and to the Timberwolves.

 

Last Friday, Feb. 9, the Panthers played the Highland Huskies who beat them 72-27.

 

Rain Larrabee was in the middle of it all on defense, coming up with 8 rebounds and 8 blocks. Taylor Hoffman was high scorer with 11 points and he had three blocks.

Rain Larrabee: 6 points, 8 rebounds, 1 assist, 2 steals, 8 blocks

Damon Vigil: 4 points, 6 rebounds, 1 assist, 1 steal, 1 block

Taylor Hoffman: 11 points, 6 rebounds, 1 assist, 4 steals, 3 blocks

Quinn Boutot: 2 points, 1 rebound, 2 steals

A week ago Tuesday, Feb. 6, the boys’ played Union Colony Prep Timberwolves and lost 27-66.

Rain Larrabee, once again, was quick on defense, grabbing 13 rebounds and making seven blocks. Damon Vigil was hot on the long shot, making three three-pointers.
