Ned came out strong; it was a 9-11 game at halftime. In the third quarter, the Panthers tied the
game at 13, but Gilpin’s Cicely Lepro hit a three pointer and then a few field goals and the score was 17-
24 entering the fourth quarter.
The Ned girls played smart, inviting fouls and making free throws. They made a great effort for a
score of 21-24 with 11 seconds in the game, but time ran out and the Eagles took the victory.
Nederland played one of their better match ups and at the end, it was a competitive back and
forth, never a dull game.
