The Panthers girls’ basketball team played three games in four days last week and although they gave it their all, suffered three losses.
On Tuesday, January 23, 2018, the Ned girls hosted the Lyons Lions and lost 18-57. The Lions came on strong in the first period, holding Ned to one point and picking up 17. Not letting the numbers bring them down, the Panthers fought hard in the second quarter, coming up with seven points to Lyons’ 17.
Karen Sorokach was high scorer with 8 points and Linnaea Thibedeau grabbed six rebounds and two steals.

On Thursday, January 25, 2018, the Panthers took on the Denver Jewish Day Tigers and although they were down by eight at halftime, they almost turned the game around in the fourth quarter, but went down finally, 24-26.
Karen Sorokach was high scorer with 14 points and Linnaea Thibedeau was on top with 11 rebounds.
