On Sunday, July 24, the three churches in Nederland, Nederland Community Presbyterian Church (NCPC), St. Rita’s Catholic Church, and Calvary Chapel, presented a community picnic at Chipeta Park.
Approximately 100 people gathered throughout the early afternoon to enjoy excellent food and great community conversation. Jim Reis provided some tunes as the DJ at the picnic and the Calvary Chapel Choir also shared their talents and sang a few songs. There were activities for the kids, too.
This was also a chance for people to meet the new pastor, Zach Hancock, at NCPC and his family. It was a wonderful time of a community coming together for the simple purpose of getting to know each other a little better.
