Music returns to the Very Nice Brewing Company
The Gael Again plays first show in new location
The Gael Again performs the first live music set at Very Nice Brewing Company’s new upstairs location at The Vault in Nederland, 26 Highway 119, Unit 7. The group leans into traditional Irish sounds, with guitar, violin, bodhrán, and hammered dulcimer filling the room. During a moment between songs, the violinist joked, “What’s the difference between a violin and a fiddle? One has strings, and one has strangs!” she said with a grin.

Patrons gather around the bar and seating area at Very Nice Brewing Company’s new space inside The Vault. The upstairs venue has quickly become a meeting place, with locals filtering in for conversation, drinks, and the brewery’s first night of live music at the new location. The Vault itself has taken shape as a new shopping hub in Nederland following the loss of the Caribou Shopping Center in last fall’s fire.

A colorful tap list lines the wall at Very Nice Brewing Company, featuring house brews like “Very Nice IPA,” “Monk’s Phunk,” and “Honey I Shrunk the Ale.” The handwritten board lists prices by pour size and alcohol content noted beside each selection.

A quote from Edgar Allan Poe decorates one of the interior walls at The Vault, celebrating ale. The words sit just off the main gathering space at Very Nice Brewing Company’s new upstairs location. The brewery recently hosted its first live musical performance inside The Vault, which now also houses Brightwood Music, 8236 Gear, Inkhaus Tattoo, 8z Real Estate, and other shops.
