Having grown up in the mountains, Max DeVincenzo knows all about wildfires. When the Four Mile Fire in 2010 threatened his home in the Bar-K, 15-year old Max had his first of many experiences with evacuations.
So when the recent Marshall Fire destroyed so many homes near his current home in Lafayette, he, like so many others, felt compelled to help. Above the Ashes is the result of his efforts along with a team of sound techs, videographers, photographers, radio stations, and The Muse Performance Space. Made possible by local sponsors, his company, Fox Tracks Music, filmed and recorded over 15 local musicians of different genres and compiled them into a feature length video fundraiser that can be viewed on Fox Tracks Music’s YouTube channel.
