Cynthia D. Chambers, Peak to Peak. On Friday at the Caribou Room in Nederland Katharsis will be delivering the funk live and loud. Katharsis is a supergroup side project that began in Denver consisting of Dave Watts of The Motet on drums, Chuck Jones of Dopapod on bass, Todd Stoops of RAQ on keys, and Marcus Rezak of Digital Tape Machine on guitar. The band made its formal debut back in early May of 2017.
The four musicians have come together to create funk-rooted, psychedelic jam of epic heights.
“With a focus on improvisation and innovation, the longtime friends formed Katharsis as a way to tap into their shared musical sensibilities while using their special blend of psychedelic funk to expose the cathartic experience of seeing music live and in person.”
Join Katharsis this Friday night for an epic show of music and magic and psychadelic fun. For more information or to have a listen to Katharsis check out their facebook page @KatharsisJams. Dinner at 7:00 p.m., show starts at 9:00 p.m.
