Cynthia D. Chambers , Peak to Peak
This weekend all mountain music lovers can celebrate the season opening of the Gold Hill Inn. Patrons will once again be able to enjoy the great sound, atmosphere and, most importantly, the always welcoming dance floor. Kicking off their 2018 music lineup this year will be The Zydecoasters. This mountain made zydeco band consists of Gerry C playing accordion, harmonica and vocals; Jon "Blackdog" Ridnell on guitar and vocals; Dave Lyons on bass and vocals; Mike Cutler on rubboard and vocals; Matt Smart on drums. The Zydecoasters deliver a show of high-energy Louisiana inspired dance music. The music has been rumored to get even the most reserved person out of their chair and onto the dance floor. Comfortable shoes are recommended. The Zydecoasters were formed and fused right here in Nederland which does in fact make them the world’s highest zydeco band. This is sure to be a fun show full of energy and not one to miss. For more information on The Zydecoasters please visit their Facebook page @zydecoasters.
