Featured Artist

This weekend the Peak to Peak will host several noteworthy, foot stomping events. The second Annual Firefighter's Ball will take place at the Caribou Room on Saturday, September 30, with music by The Jauntee, New Family Dog, NoGo Gilbillies and John McKay.

The Jauntee, hailing from Boston and graduates of the Berklee School of Music, offer a style of music focused on live improvisation, set-list variety, and musical exploration so each and every show is different from the last. Tickets are a $10 donation at the door.

On Sunday, October 1, the Rocky Mountain Oyster Bar will offer a day of rock, heavy metal style, in all its glory. The bands performing are Pillorian (Dark Metal from Portland, Oregon), Flight of Sleipnir (folk infused Doom Metal from Denver), and John Haughm performing his solo act (ex-Agalloch, Apocalyptic Western Soundscapes). The evening will host bands of a heavier persuasion than the typical Nederland fare rich with texture, depth, and emotion. This is an all-ages show starting at 9 p.m. Admission will be $10 at the door.
