The great wheel of the year has turned once again and now the Autumnal Equinox rules the land. The eight spokes of the wheel of time are the solstices, the equinoxes and the cross quarter divisions. On Thursday, September 22, the Sun enters the sign of fall, Libra. Day and night are in equipoise throughout the Earth.

Mercury, the symbol of communication and travel, is moving backward through the heavens. Hold on to your car keys, and research major moves, but wait until the beginning of October to make large purchases. Mercury, the messenger, is reversing in your sign, Libra, so all of us can examine partnerships from the past to glean wisdom in how to better relate to others.

Aries - The equinox places emphasis for you on close relationships in your life. Mercury, the symbol of thought processes, is reversing in your opposite sign, Libra. This is the ideal time for you to look back at the different people who have been in your life, and learn from them.

Taurus - Your natural creative impulses are benefiting from the current placements in the stars. With the Sun and Mercury in Libra, you have the ability to apply yourself to projects with cleverness. You can examine parts of your life and then streamline them for your purposes.

Cancer - The Moon Children are anticipating the glorious golden change of seasons in the mountains. With Mercury, the mind, moving backward, you can examine how you have prepared for winter in the past, and make even more efficient preparations for the seasons to come.

Leo - The social sign of Libra is now in the center of the stars, reminding all of us how important our connections with other people are. You are in a cycle that is bringing added responsibilities into your life. Remember to schedule time for yourself and also to appreciate your friends.

Virgo - Vibrant Virgo hands the scepter of the wheel of the year to the gracious sign of her sister, Libra. Your guide, Mercury, who gives you strong mental abilities, is now moving in reverse. This allows you to place your world in order, so that you may move forward more efficiently.

Libra - Happy Birthday and Happy Autumnal Equinox! You lead us into the new season, fall. You are the expert in partnerships and now Mercury, the thinking process, is reversing in your sign, allowing you to analyze your connections with others, establishing kind but firm boundaries.

Scorpio - As a strong, fixed sign, you are able to cope with the vicissitudes of life that have been arriving at your doorstep. The Sun has now moved into social Libra, requesting that you maintain boundaries for yourself and that you also respond diplomatically to those around you.

Sagittarius - Libra brings vision to the philosophical sign of Sagittarius. With Mercury, the symbol of ideas, reversing, you are able to traverse the timeline. You can look back at your past and use that knowledge as a directional guide for where you would like to be in the future.

Capricorn - Libra introduces the fall and all too soon you shall bring in winter. This is a fine juncture for you to look backward as you plan for the future. Career is in the center of focus for you as the leaves start to change color and you examine and celebrate your recent successes.

Aquarius - Journeys short and long and near and far are on the mind of Aquarius as autumn begins. Mercury, who is in charge of travel and ideas, is reversing, so plan carefully and double check the details in regards to any courses you plan to take or locations you want to visit.
