In celestial lore, Gems grant their powers to the twelve signs of the zodiac, as delineated in this column. Gemini, the conveyor of knowledge, is now the sign in the center of the zodiac. The twin themes of Gems and Gemini lead us into the season of light in the mountains.

Mercury, intelligent in Gemini until June 5th, is gathering information and then the traveler moves into the sleek summer sign of Cancer, intuitively blending both hemispheres of the brain, activating our new skills. The emphasis moves to families of origin or friends of choice, featuring gatherings and social events.

Aries- Aries is known as the exaltation of the zodiac, the most natural of signs. The diamond, the King of Stones, the unbreakable stone, with its ability to break light into prisms, is an ally for Aries. Gemini and diamonds lead you into sparkling events during Spring and Summer.

Taurus- Emeralds, ancient stones of power and royalty, motivate your guide Venus, the goddess of love and money. The heart center is associated with the color green and loyalty. Wearing an emerald during the month of Gems and Gemini allows this stone to lead you joyously forward.

Gemini- The June month of Gems and Geminis starts with your ruler in your own lively sign, fascinated with knowledge. As Mercury moves into intuitive Cancer, ruled by the moon, you find that wearing a moonstone allows you to calmly integrate both hemispheres of your brain.

Cancer- Gems and Gemini, accenting the sign before yours, enliven you as your approach the Summer Solstice and your birthday. The celestial lore of Gems suggests that a red ruby will bring heart’s strength, health, wealth and protection to the Moon Child who wears one.

Leo- The royal lions of the zodiac, the sign of summer, are said to consider wearing a green Peridot, the stone known as the healer’s healer. This gem will assist you in adjusting to the vicissitudes of life with royal grace and style, as you release the past and embrace the present.

Virgo- Joy enters the life of a Virgo who wears a blue sapphire, it is said. You are an industrious sign, certain to be engaged appropriately in life’s duties. The Sun is now in Gemini, bringing you lively ideas to enhance success. A sapphire is an ally, bringing happiness and peace to you.

Libra- The rainbow fire of the opal guides Libra, providing impetus to direct your life successfully. This mystic stone is reputed to assist in spiritual journeying and communication with ancestors. Enjoy the month ahead with the Sun in Gemini, connecting with your friends.

Scorpio- The zodiac has been training Scorpio over the decades, tempering you with experience, as though you were a samurai sword. Topaz, the stone of manifestation, is your Gemstone guide as you cut through obstacles that you may face as you design the future that you desire.
