Why did the kid chop the joke book in half? Mom said to cut the comedy. Continue the laughter and fun with Mom this Mother’s Day weekend across the Peak to Peak and beyond!

If you’re thinking of heading to one or more of our glorious mountain towns, make one of your stops at the Wine Bar at Mountain Poppy Boutique & Gifts. All mothers, 21 and older, receive a free glass of wine or beer. A great way to enjoy the brisk mountain weather.

For fans of Coal Creek Canyon, the wonderful Wondervu Cafe is hosting a full buffet from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Enjoy mountain hospitality unlike any other, while enjoying remarkable views of the Rockies. Call ahead and make your reservations so Mom doesn’t miss out.

The Canyon Tavern will also be offering some surprise specials and special surprises. Visit them all day Sunday, 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Enjoy $7 burgers through Sunday!

Canyon Coffee will feature some special treats in the bakery case, that you and Mom can relish while you enjoy a pop-up jewelry sale with Sarah Schneider Silversmith on Saturday, May 13, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The Coal Creek Canyon Improvement Association will also host a Mother’s Day Pancake Breakfast on Saturday, May 13, from 7:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., with proceeds going toward the scholarship fund.
