Dear Editor,

The Nederland Area Historical Society (NAHS) in conjunction with lead event coordinators Emmit & Shivaun Hoyl, have determined that they will not be hosting the Nederland Miners’ Days event in 2016.
A variety of reasons have led to this difficult decision. Please know that NAHS intends to remain active in finding different and inspiring ways to teach our public about the colorful history of Nederland.

We are currently in the planning process of a “Heritage Days” celebration, and we encourage any involvement by interested members of the community.
If you have any questions or input, please contact Emmit Hoyl at emmithoyl@yahoo.com to discuss ways of keeping Nederland’s history alive!
