A Memorial Day tribute at the Carousel of Happiness
Cynthia D. Chambers
Peak to Peak
This year The Carousel of Happiness will host another meaningful and memoriable Memorial Day tribute for our veterens. The event has been an annual celebration for the past 10 years as the Carousel offers a unique and joyful way to honor the men and women that have served our country.
Visitors are encouraged to share stories of loved ones who served in the armed forces. Children will have the opportunity to hand out flowers to veterens and family of fallen soldiers. Iraq veteren and Army Band member, Dennis Kerr, will play a heartfelt rendition of Taps.
The ceremony will conclude with free rides for all veterens and their families.
This event will take place on May 27, starting at Noon at the Carousel of Happiness in Nederland
