On 5-1-18 at approximately 8:15 a.m., a person was arrested on a warrant at the Gilpin County Courthouse and brought to the Gilpin County Detention Facility for processing.

 

On 5-1-18 at approximately 11:30 a.m., a male driver was issued a proof of service because his driving status was cancelled/denied for an unsatisfied judgment.

 

On 5-2-18 at approximately 10:10 a.m., a deputy was releasing a male party from the Gilpin County Jail who had two active warrants out of Arapahoe. He was booked and processed for these warrants.

 

On 5-2-18 an adult female reported a neighbor dispute involving mining claims with access issues, damage to private roads and unauthorized cutting of trees. An investigation was initiated, and a report filed. The investigation continues as information develops.

 

On 5-3-18 a deputy conducted a welfare check in the Century Casino Parking Garage. During the welfare check, drugs were located and a female party was arrested. A report was later completed.

 

On 5-3-18 at approximately 9:38 p.m., a deputy took a report a possible harassment involving weapons which took place in Central City. A male party was later identified and arrested.

 

On 5-4-18 a deputy conducted a traffic stop on Highway 119 and the driver was later arrested for two warrants.

 

On 5-4-18 a deputy conducted a traffic stop on Highway 72. A passenger in the vehicle was arrested for violation of a protection order and the driver was issued a summons for driving under restraint.

 

On 5-5-18 at approximately 12:39 a.m., deputies conducted a welfare check on a male party located in the Century Casino parking garage. The male party was later found to have an active warrant and was arrested.

 

On 5-5-18 a deputy stopped a vehicle at mile marker 3.5 on Highway 119 for expired number plates. The driver of the vehicle had a warrant and did not have a valid driver`s license. The driver was booked into the Gilpin County Jail.

 

On 5-5-18 at 12:01 p.m., deputies responded to a casino located in the 300 block of Gregory Street, Central City CO 80427, on the report of a wanted person who was gaming. The party was located and arrested for an outstanding warrant without incident.

 

On 5-5-18 at approximately 1:00 p.m., a prisoner relay between the Nederland Police Department and the Gilpin County Sheriff’s Office took place. The prisoner was processed without incident into the Gilpin County Jail.

 

On 5-5-18 at 2:03 p.m., a deputy responded to the 1000 block of Rollins Pass Road, unincorporated Gilpin County, CO 80424, on the report of an OHV accident. An injured female was airlifted from the scene due to injuries. A report was completed.

 

On 5-5-18 a deputy attempted to stop two motorcycles and both motorcycles fled. A short pursuit ensued and was terminated for public safety concerns.

 

On 5-5-18 a deputy conducted a traffic stop in Rollinsville for speeding. The driver was later arrested for DUI.

 

On 5-5-18 a deputy was called to investigate a barking dog complaint on Upper Travis Gulch Road. The deputy contacted the owner of the dogs driving up the road. The driver was later determined to be DUI and was arrested.

 

On 5-6-18 a deputy stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation in the 100 block of Nevadaville. The driver was later released on summons.

 

On 5-6-18 at approximately 7:49 p.m., a deputy contacted a male driver in the 100 block of Gregory Street, Central City Gilpin County Colorado 80427, for failing to stop as required at a stop sign. The male driver was found to not have a valid driver`s license. The male party was issued a summons and released. A case report was completed.

 

On 5-6-18 a deputy was conducting a traffic stop, during the traffic stop a patrol vehicle was involved in Motor Vehicle Accident. A Case Report was completed.

 

On 5-6-18 at approximately 10:06 p.m., a deputy responded to Johnny Z`s Casino on the report of a fraudulent $20 bill. The counterfeit bill was seized, and a report was generated to document the incident.

 

On 5-6-18 a deputy conducted a traffic stop on Nevada Street in Central City. The driver was issued a summons and the passenger was issued a proof of service.

 

On 5-7-18 deputies arrested a male party at the Gold Mountain Village Apartments, who had two warrants for his arrest.

 

On 5-7-18 at approximately 10:03 p.m. a deputy took a report of a missing person from unincorporated Gilpin County Colorado 80422. A case report was completed.

 

On 5-8-18 a deputy conducted a traffic stop on the Central City Pkwy and the driver was issued a summons for driving on a suspended license.

 

On 5-8-18 a deputy conducted a traffic stop on Gregory Street in Central City. A passenger in the vehicle was arrested for a warrant and other charges.

 

On 5-8-18 at approximately 11:30 p.m., a male party turned himself in to the Gilpin County Jail on an active warrant out of Gilpin County. He was booked and processed on this warrant without incident.

 

On 5-8-18 a deputy was dispatched to 50 On A Hill Road in unincorporated Gilpin County, Colorado 80422, on a request for a VIN Inspection on a vehicle. Upon arrival and investigation, the vehicle was found to be stolen. A case report was completed.

 

On 5-9-18 a deputy was performing his duties at the Gilpin County Detention Facility located at 2960 Dory Hill RD Black Hawk CO, 80422 in unincorporated Gilpin County. An M1 hold was placed on a female subject who was due to be released on a PR bond on local charges.

 

On 5-9-18 at approximately 10:43 a.m., a deputy was dispatched to the 7400 Block of Virginia Canyon Road, located in unincorporated Gilpin County, Colorado, 80427, regarding a possible trespassing issue. Upon arrival, the deputy spoke to the property owner via phone and the owner requested the two parties trespassing be given a verbal warning regarding the incident. One of the trespassing parties had three warrants for his arrest. The party was arrested and transported to the Gilpin County Jail.

 

On 5-9-18 a deputy responded to the Century Casino in Central City on a report of a theft that happened on 5-7-18. Personal property was taken from a couple`s vehicle. At this time, there is no suspect information.

 

0n 5-9-18 at approximately 8:25 p.m., a male individual came to turn himself in on a warrant. I went out to the lobby of the Gilpin County Sheriff`s Office and took his information and had dispatch run a clearance on him and an active warrant was found. The individual was taken into custody and was booked on the warrant.

 

On 5-10-18 at approximately 11:18 a.m., a deputy was contacted regarding a theft which occurred in the 7000 Block of Virginia Canyon Road, located in unincorporated Gilpin County, Colorado, 80427. A case report was later completed.

 

On 5-10-18 a deputy was dispatched to the 100 block of Lawrence Street, Gilpin County, Central City, Colorado 80427, on a motor vehicle accident with property damage only. A report was later completed.

 

On 5-11-18 a deputy contacted a male party in the lobby of the Sheriff`s Office. The male party was found to have an active warrant for his arrest for failure to appear. He was taken into custody and processed into the jail.

 

On 5-12-18 at approximately 3:10 a.m., a deputy was dispatched to the area of mile marker 10.5 on a reported intoxicated driver. When the deputy arrived, he determined the vehicle was involved in a crash. The Colorado State Patrol responded and conducted the investigation.

 

On 5-12-18 at approximately 8:33 p.m., a deputy conducted a traffic stop on Highway 119. The driver of the vehicle was later found to not have a valid driver`s license and was issued a summons.

 

On 5-13-18 a deputy responded to the 900 block of South Dory Lakes Drive on a report of criminal mischief. A report was completed on the incident.

 

On 5-13-18 a deputy stopped a vehicle for weaving and an equipment violation in the 1800 block of Highway 46 around 1400 hours. The driver was later determined to be under the influence of alcohol. He was arrested and processed into the jail.

 

On 5-13-18 at approximately 5:49 p.m., a deputy contacted a male party outside of Blackjack pawn. The male party was later found to have an outstanding warrant and was arrested.

 

On 5-13-18 a deputy stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation. The driver showed signs of intoxication and after further investigation, was arrested for DUI and booked into the Gilpin County Jail.

 

On 5-13-18 at approximately 11:10 p.m. a deputy contacted a male and female party who were arguing in front of the Grand Z Casino. The male party was later found to have active arrest warrants and was placed under arrest. The female party was also found to have an active arrest warrant, was in possession of suspected methamphetamine and later placed under arrest.

 

On 5-14-18 at 10:03 a.m., a deputy responded to the 100 block of Upper Ralston Way, unincorporated Gilpin County CO 80422, on a shooting complaint. Investigation disclosed that a resident`s dog ran towards another male. The second male discharged a handgun into a dirt mound to scare off the dog. The dog`s owner confronted the male then called the Sheriff`s Office. A report was taken.

 

On 5-14-18 at 10:07 a.m. an inmate currently in the Gilpin County Detention Facility was found to have three active warrants.

 

On 5-14-18 a deputy stopped a vehicle after receiving a REDDI report on the vehicle. The driver showed signs of intoxication and after further investigation, the driver was arrested and booked into jail.

 

On 5-15-18 a deputy stopped a vehicle on Highway 119 and Howe Court for a cracked windshield. The driver did not have a valid driver`s license and was issued a summons.

 

On 5-15-18 at approximately 7:53 p.m., a female party arrived to visit an in-custody inmate currently housed at the Gilpin County Sheriff`s Office. The female party, was found to have a cancelled driver`s license, due to insurance terminated. The party`s Colorado Driver License was confiscated, and she was issued a proof of service after confirmation.

 

On 5-15-18 at approximately 8:20 p.m., a deputy responded to an address on a reported cold assault. After investigating the incident, a party was arrested for domestic violence related charges.

 

On 5-16-18 at approximately 11:06 a.m., a deputy contacted a female party for a disturbance call on the 1500 block of Dory Hill Rd. Upon running clearance, the party showed she was suspended, cancelled and denied for a default judgement. Party was given a proof of service and was instructed not drive.

 

On 5-16-18 at approximately 1:10 p.m., an active, valid warrant was discovered for a person currently in custody at the Gilpin County Detention Facility. The person was processed on the warrant.

 

On 5-16-18 at approximately 2:00 p.m., a deputy was working on an inmate release. The deputy found an active warrant and the inmate was booked on the warrant.

 

On 5-16-18 a deputy responded to a theft call in the 100 block of Main Street, Central City, Gilpin County, Colorado, 80427. A report was later completed.

 

On 5-17-18 a Sergeant located suspected narcotics in the Gilpin County Jail, located at 2960 Dory Hill Road, Black Hawk, Gilpin County, CO 80422. A party was charged and a report was later completed.

 

On 5-18-18, at approximately 6:52 a.m., a deputy was dispatched to a wounded deer in the area of mile marker 2 on the Central City Parkway, located in the incorporated City of Central City, Colorado, 80427. The deer was euthanized, and a case report was later completed.

 

On 5-18-18 a deputy responded to the 600 block of Lodgepole Drive on a report of a disturbance in progress. The deputy determined that no crime had taken place and advised the involved individuals that mediation services might be beneficial to help with the current conflicts happening.

 

On 5-18-18 at approximately 9:00 a.m., court security notified a deputy of a male party with a warrant. The deputy arrested the male party on the warrant and booked him into the jail.

 

On 5-18-18, at approximately 10:45 a.m., a deputy was dispatched to an animal complaint at the Gold Mountain Apartments, located in the incorporated City of Central City, Colorado, 80427. A black house cat was captured and transported to Charlie`s Place Animal Shelter. A case report was later completed.

 

On 5-18-18 a deputy contacted a pedestrian in the 8000 block of Virginia Canyon Road. The deputy gave the party a ride to her residence, and while doing so, determined that her driver`s license was revoked out of Colorado. Her license was confiscated, and she was issued a proof of service.

 

On 5-18-18 at approximately 2:35 p.m., a deputy rolled up to a 2-car property damage accident. Driver #1 was cited for failing to drive in a single lane.

 

On 5-18-18 a deputy conducted a traffic stop in the 300 block of Gregory Street, Central City, Gilpin County, CO 80427. The driver was issued a summons for several traffic violations and a report was later completed.

 

On 5-18-18, a deputy conducted a traffic stop in Rollinsville and the driver was later issued a summons for driving on a restrained license.

On 05-18-2018, a Deputy conducted a traffic stop on Highway 72 in Pinecliffe. The driver was later arrested for DUI.

 

On 5-18-18 an adult male was transferred from Jefferson County with unacceptable property which was placed in safe keeping.

 

On 5-19-18 a deputy conducted a traffic stop on level three of the Century Casino Parking Garage. A driver and a passenger in the vehicle were arrested for outstanding warrants, and the vehicle was impounded.

On 5-19-18 a deputy stopped a vehicle for an expired temporary tag. The driver did not have a valid driver`s license and was issued a summons.

 

On 5-19-18 at approximately 8:29 p.m., a deputy was performing his assigned duties at the Gilpin County Detention Center, located at 2960 Dory Hill Rd, Blackhawk, unincorporated Gilpin County, Colorado 80422, and was informed an inmate who had a new warrant and needed to be booked in on the warrant.

 

On 5-20-18 at approximately 3:25 p.m., a deputy responded to the lobby of the Gilpin County Sheriff`s Office. A party was found to have a Misdemeanor Warrant for their arrest. The party was taken into custody and escorted into the Gilpin County Jail for processing without incident.

 

On 5-20-18 a deputy responded to the Dostal Alley Casino Parking Lot, on the report of an intoxicated female attempting to drive. Upon the deputy’s arrival, the female party was arrested for DUI and a warrant.

 

On 5-20-18 a deputy conducted a traffic stop on Highway 72 and the driver was issued a summons for driving on a restrained license.

 

On 5-21-18 a deputy took a report on a possible assault. Upon investigation, there was not enough evidence to pursue charges.

 

On 5-21-18 at approximately 1:30 a.m., Gilpin County Sheriff`s Deputies attempted to contact a White 4-door Sedan which was trying to elude the Colorado State Patrol from Mile Marker 6 on Highway 119 in the City of Black Hawk, Gilpin County Colorado 80422 Deputies were unable to stop the vehicle.

 

On 5-21-18 a deputy conducted a traffic stop on south Highway 119. The driver was later issued a summons for driving on a revoked license.

 

On 5-21-18 at 8:53 p.m., deputies responded to a residence located in the 200 block of Deer Circle, unincorporated Gilpin County CO 80422, on a disturbance. All parties were interviewed, and a report was taken.

 

0n 5-21-18 at approximately 9:22 a.m., a deputy arrested a male party who had 2 active warrants.

 

On 5-21-18 a deputy conducted a traffic stop on the Central City Pkwy. The driver was later arrested for DUI.

 

On 5-21-18 a deputy was on a seatbelt overtime patrol shift, when the deputy stopped a vehicle for a cracked windshield. The driver of the vehicle was believed to be under the influence of drugs, alcohol or both. The driver was also not wearing a seatbelt, had a warrant and did not have a valid driver`s license. The passenger of the vehicle had also been consuming alcohol and had a mandatory protection order prohibiting the use of alcohol.

 

On 5-22-18 at approximately 5:47 p.m., a Gilpin deputy responded to the Central City Parkway on a report of a car versus deer accident. A traffic accident report was filed.

 

On 5-22-18 at approximately 9:15 a.m., a male party reported to the Gilpin County Court and was remanded to the custody of the Gilpin County Sheriff. Upon processing him into the jail, two warrants were found from other jurisdictions. A Jefferson County warrant for 2nd Degree Kidnapping with no

 

bond and a Broomfield Police Department warrant for Failure to Appear on a Violation of a Protection Order Case with a bond of $1,500.00 were confirmed. The male party was processed into the jail without incident.

 

On 5-22-18 at approximately 3:57 p.m., deputies responded to the Gilpin County Court and took a male party into custody on the judge`s orders. The male party attempted to flee and resisted the arrest but was eventually secured in the jail.

 

On 5-22-18 at approximately 11:00 p.m., a male inmate currently in custody at the Gilpin County Detention Facility was found to have an active out-of-county Warrant.

 

On 5-23-18 a deputy responded to the Stage Stop on 60 Main Street in Rollinsville, CO on a criminal trespass that occurred on 5-19-18. The suspect was issued a summons for 3rd Degree Criminal Trespass.

 

0n 5-23-18 at approximately 2:15 p.m., an inmate was in the process of being release from the Gilpin County Jail when he was found to have an active warrant. The inmate was re-booked into the jail on the new warrant without incident.

 

On 5-23-18 at approximately 4:07 p.m., a deputy, while on a motorist assist, recovered a stolen motorcycle on Central City Parkway at mile marker 6.8.

 

On 5-24-18 a deputy contacted a vehicle in the 500 block of Gregory Street, Central City, Gilpin County, CO 80427. A DUI investigation was conducted, and the driver was subsequently arrested.

 

0n 5-24-18 at approximately 1:07 p.m., a deputy at the Gilpin County Jail found a party to have an active warrant. The individual was taken into custody and booked into the Gilpin County jail.

 

On 5-24-18 at approximately 7:00 p.m., a deputy was dispatched to assist Boulder County Sheriff`s Office on a disturbance. The deputy arrived and assisted with the investigation. A party involved in the disturbance was later arrested by the Boulder County Sheriff`s Office for Violation of a Protection Order.

 

On 5-24-18 a deputy conducted a traffic stop in the 500 block of Gregory Street, Central City, Gilpin County, CO 80427. The driver was issued a summons for several traffic violations and the vehicle as towed. A report was later completed.

 

On 5-24-18 at approximately 11:30 p.m., a deputy conducted a welfare check on multiple parties sitting in a vehicle located in the Grand Z casino parking garage. A female party in the vehicle was later found to have outstanding warrants and was arrested.

 

On 5-25-18, at approximately 6:15 a.m., a deputy responded to the 120 Block of Main Street, located in the incorporated City of Black Hawk, Colorado, 80422, regarding a Colorado Division of Gaming Investigator`s request for assistance. A subject who was arrested was transported to the Gilpin County Jail. A case report was later completed.

 

On 5-25-18 a deputy responded to the 800 block of Tolland Road regarding a civil issue. The situation was resolved, and a proof of service was issued to an individual on scene.

 

On 5-25-18 at approximately 7:23 p.m., a male inmate currently in custody at the Gilpin County Detention Facility was found to have 2 active out-of-county warrants.

 

On 5-25-18 at approximately 8:10 p.m., a deputy responded to a parking problem located on South Beaver Creek Rd. The parked/abandoned vehicle was blocking a roadway and was towed due to being a hazard. The driver of the vehicle was later identified and issued a penalty assessment.

 

On 5-25-18 at approximately 9:25 p.m., an adult female was stopped for a traffic violation and subsequently arrested for DUI. Due to the breath test result being below the legal limit, the female was released. A report was filed.

 

On 5-25-18 a deputy conducted a traffic stop on Highway 119 at mile marker 14.0. The driver was later arrested for DUI.

 

On 5-26-18 a deputy conducted a traffic stop on Main Street in Black Hawk. The driver was later issued a summons for driving on a restrained license.

 

On Saturday, May 26, 2018, at approximately 10:40 a.m., a deputy was dispatched to the 4000 Block of Rollins Pass Road, located in unincorporated Gilpin County, Colorado, 80422, regarding an Off-Highway Vehicle (OHV) crash. Upon arrival, the deputy observed the sole rider/patient of the OHV and several people/Good Samaritans. The patient was transported via ambulance to St. Anthony`s Central Hospital. A case report was later completed.

 

On 5-26-18 at 2:20 a.m., a deputy responded to the 100 block of Pitts Place, unincorporated Gilpin County CO 80422, on a cold assault.

 

After an investigation, no charges were filed due to conflicting statements. A report was completed.

 

On 5-26-18 a deputy conducted a traffic stop for speeding in the 11000 block of Highway 119. The driver was later determined to be operating the vehicle while under the influence of alcohol and was arrested.

 

On 5-26-18 deputies responded to a motor vehicle accident. It was determined there was no damage. One of the drivers was later arrested for DUI.

 

On 5-27-18 a deputy responded to the Grand Z Casino for found suspected drugs. A suspect was located and was taken into custody.

 

On 5-27-18 a deputy responded to the 100 block of West Dory Way on a report of a trespass. The trespassers were no longer on scene; however, the victim was able to obtain a license plate on one of the vehicles. An investigation has been started to track down all responsible parties.

 

On 5-27-18 a deputy responded to the 1500 block of Missouri Gulch on a report of a trespassing on forest service land. An individual was detained and later issued a summons from a U.S. Forest Service Officer.

 

On 5-27-18 a deputy stopped a vehicle for weaving on Highway 119 and Richman Street. The driver of the vehicle did not have a valid driver`s license.

 

On 5-27-18 deputies responded to the 900 Block of Elk Park Road, on the report of a trespassing issue. A male party was later arrested for two felony warrants.

 

On 5-27-18 a deputy stopped a vehicle for attempting to go the wrong way on Lawrence Street. The driver did not have a valid driver`s license and was not wearing his seatbelt.

 

On 5-28-18 a deputy contacted a driver for speeding. The driver was suspected of being under the influence of alcohol and was arrested. Later tests showed the driver was under the legal limit and released from custody.

 

On 5-27-18 a deputy responded to a suspicious incident at a casino. After further investigation it was determined an assault / DV occurred. The suspect was later arrested and booked into the Gilpin County Jail.

 

On 5-28-18 a deputy stopped a vehicle in Central City for an expired temporary tag. The driver of the vehicle did not have a valid driver`s license and was issued a summons.

 

On 5-28-18 a Deputy stopped a vehicle on the Central City Parkway for not having valid registration. The driver of the vehicle did not have a valid driver`s license and was issued a summons.

 

On 5-28-18 at 2:30 a.m., a suspicious item was located on Forest Service Road 718.1 approximately one mile from the trailhead, in unincorporated Gilpin County CO 80422. The caller provided a general location. The following day, the location was found but the item was gone. A report was taken.

 

On 5-28-18 a deputy tried to stop a vehicle in the 6000 block of Highway 119. The vehicle fled into Central City. Driver was arrested.

On 5-28-18 at approximately 5:31 p.m., a deputy was dispatched to the Century Casino located at 102 Main Street Central City, Gilpin County Colorado 80427 on a report of found drugs. A male party was arrested, and a case report was Completed.

 

On 5-28-18 a deputy conducted a traffic stop on the Central City Pkwy. The driver was arrested for DUID and drug distribution. The passenger was issued a penalty assessment.

 

On 5-29-18 at approximately 1:17 p.m., multiple warrants were located for an individual at the Gilpin County Sheriff`s office. The individual was booked on these warrants without incident.

 

On 5-29-18 at 8:33 a.m., a deputy contacted a party regarding an incident which occurred in the 200 block of Morning Star Circle, unincorporated Gilpin County CO 80422. The party admitted to trespassing on another person`s property but wanted to report that the property owner yelled threats at him. A report was completed.

 

On 5-29-18 at approximately 10:40 a.m., a Gilpin County Sheriff`s Office deputy was contacted by a citizen who reported being scammed by a Solar system contractor. The contractor withdrew approximately $10,000.00, from the reporting person’s bank account and the work was not done.

 

On 5-29-18 at approximately 12:51 p.m., a deputy was performing his assigned duties at the Gilpin County Detention Center and received a call from the Control Center in the jail that there was a party in the lobby that wanted to turn himself in.

 

On 5-29-18 at approximately 9:00 p.m., a deputy conducted a traffic stop with a vehicle. The vehicle was found to have fictitious license plates. The deputy impounded the vehicle and issued the driver a summons to appear in court.

 

On 5-31-18 at approximately 7:07 a.m., a deputy was dispatched to the 100 Block of Packard Street, located in the incorporated City of Central City, Colorado, 80427, regarding a camping violation. A male party was contacted and was warned about camping inside of the city limits. The party later moved on.

 

On 5-30-18 at approximately 7:15 p.m., a deputy responded to a vehicle versus deer accident on the Central City Parkway. A report was completed.

 

On 5-31-18 at approximately 6:05 p.m., information was given that a female inmate at the Gilpin County Jail, had brought in, and was in possession of, illegal contraband. A search of the female inmate and her cell produced the reported contraband and the female inmate was booked in on new charges.

 

On 5-31-18 at approximately 10:34 p.m., a deputy conducted a welfare check on a party whose vehicle was parked on Highway 119. The driver of the vehicle was later placed under arrest for suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol.
