Dear Neighbors,
The Nederland Community Presbyterian Church is holding its annual Love Your Neighbor Cereal Drive throughout the month of August to benefit the Nederland Food Pantry.
Boxes of cereal can be donated in bins at The Market at Nederland (formerly B&F), at the Nederland Community Center near the check in/information desk entrance, and on Sundays at Nederland Community Presbyterian Church.
All of the cereal will be donated to the Nederland Food Pantry for distribution to local residents.
Cereal is a nutritious staple for all ages. It is especially important for children to have a nutritious breakfast to help in the development of their mind and body. Cereal is not an item that is generally received by food pantries and food banks from corporate donors, so we are conducting the cereal drive again this year to fill in that gap.
Last year, thanks to generous local residents, 248 boxes were donated. This year's goal is 300 boxes of cereal.
We know that everyone's budget is stretched right now so it is more important than ever to help the food pantry meet the needs of local residents. We ask everyone who can to donate one or more boxes to help us meet our goal.
We are very grateful to The Market at Nederland and Nederland Community Center for their support of this effort.
Spread the love and generosity!
Margie Yansura
