A Valentine's Birthday
Barbara Thielemann, a beloved community member, celebrated her 91st birthday in style at the Central City Elks Lodge. A longtime advocate for the town, she continues to serve on the Main Street Commission, the Planning Commission, and the Belvidere Foundation. Smiling as she enjoyed the evening, Thielemann said, "Every day is a blessing."

Elks giving back
Elks Club members dance at the party. The Central City Elks Lodge No. 557, established in 1900, continues its mission of community service. Awarded BEACON and GRATITUDE Grants for 2025, the lodge is donating $2,500 to women in need in Gilpin County. Lodge Secretary Heather Seager shared that the next event will be the Mother’s Day Brunch on May 11, 2025, at 10 a.m.

Dance floor delight
Couples twirled and swayed across the wooden dance floor, enjoying classic tunes spun by DJ Eric Chinn. Hits like "Rock Around the Clock," "Mama Don’t Let Your Babies Grow Up to Be Cowboys," and "Dream Lover" kept the energy high as partygoers showed off their moves.
