Dear Editor,
While Christmas isn’t that much of a “card company’s, money-making holiday” anymore - thanks to the internet - I have heard it referred to as a Toys and Noise Holiday. It is a pretty expensive one, too! And for what? Is Christ even still in the word “Christmas” anymore? Not to mention, is he even considered part of the holiday at all?
At Christ the King Church (CTKC), we “love as Christ loved,” and we want to share our Christmas glow with the masses; as Christ did so many beautiful times during his short period on earth. We’ll be honoring Christ during His birthday season with re-enactments of The Holy Story through a live Nativity. There will be animals and angels!
Since it’s also a birthday celebration, there will be edibles, hot cocoa & cider, games, contests/drawings, very cool Christmas crafts, swag, even pictures taken with live angels (your free 4”x6” souvenir), music, and the true sharing of Christ’s love.
It will be held for only a short two-hour period (most birthday parties are), but a most memorable time will be had by all. So, don your Holiday curiosities and smiles, and come to CTKC Saturday, December 9, between 2 and 4 p.m. and enjoy celebrating Christ’s birthday with us. It’s Christmas! We’ll all be so much happier because you did.
Blessings upon you all, Merry Christmas!
