Back in the fall, Nederland Lions held our annual Peace Poster contest for middle school students. Our local first place winning poster by Lucy Budde then advanced to the District and State competitions where it again took first place! Her District win was announced at the District Lions Convention in Lakewood on April 29, 2023.
Lucy received a check and a beautiful plaque brought to school by Ann Marie Morgan so that art teacher Theresa Redmond could present it to Lucy.
The State Convention will be held in Steamboat Springs on May 19-20, where her achievement will again be recognized.
