Sara Sandstrom, Nederland. The Nederland area lights contest brought a smile to our faces and helped lighten the 2020 Holiday season. Driving around and seeing the lighted decorations was a fun activity for those staying home and social distancing.
The winners of the 2020 contest are as follows:
First prize
Bee Brogan: 31 West Spring Street

Second prize
Ted and Sandy Cook: 95 Ute Way

Third prize
Lyndsey Stafford: 125 East 2nd Street
Bee Brogan says that she will be donating half of her prize money to the Nederland Food Pantry because they have been so helpful during Covid. Bee says, “We are grateful we live in such an amazing community!”
Normandie Rainwater organized the event for the Nederland community. Many residents in Nederland, the surrounding area and into Gilpin County celebrated with decorating the outside of their homes. Thank you to all who participated and voted in the contest.
