Dear Editor,
A bike pump track sounds like a great idea - on Indian Peaks Drive or how about the Community Center parking lot - but a hard no for this big hunk of asphalt in historic Chipeta Park, where it will degrade river habitat and quiet uses.
Could construction and drainage kill the old growth Blue Spruces? Once they start to go, they go fast. It may be an “attractive nuisance”/hazard for nearby playground kids. We can pretty much plan for bikers to also be on the quiet river paths, legal or not.
