Dear Editor,
I would like to take a few minutes to speak to the unaffiliated voters of Gilpin County regarding the upcoming primary election on June 28, 2022. Did you know that unaffiliated voters outnumber both Democrats and Republicans each by a margin of almost 2:1? That means unaffiliated voters alone could decide who is going to lead this county for the next four years! As such, I encourage each of you consider your options and vote in the upcoming primary election by June 28th.
Primary ballots for the general electorate were mailed out on June 7th and should be in voters mailboxes by June 10th or 11th, so mark your calendar! You will have until 7 p.m. on June 28 to turn in your ballot. There are two Republican candidates running for County Commissioner but you will see only one name on the ballot. The other candidate is me, and I am running as a write-in candidate, so you do have a choice. Vote for the GOOD of Gilpin County!
Thank you,
Rick Wenzel
Write-In Candidate for Gilpin CountyCommissioner
