Dear Editor,
In the years I have lived in Nederland I have noted a remarkable decline in birds, butterflies, insects and especially ladybugs, which are so beneficial. That is disturbing to me!
I encourage our mountain community to stop using pesticides and to ask Ace Hardware to stop selling them including ones like RoundUp. Read this from https://www.healthline.com/nutrition/roundup-glyphosate-and-health
"Glyphosate is an herbicide, which is a type of chemical that can kill plants and weeds. It’s found in many weed killers like Roundup, but it has the potential to cause cancer."
RoundUp also contains other ingredients which are harmful to human gut bacteria and digestion.
Roundup is one of the most popular weed killers in the world, and is manufactured by Monsanto.
Let's care for life on our planet and not just try to eliminate life!
Thank you,
Bonnie Sundance
