All of the ladies worked incredibly hard this season. Coach Gonzalez says, “This year was difficult due to the Covid pandemic, but I want to say thanks for the great job the Nederland soccer girls did. From the beginning every single player did a great job in every practice and in every game, always with a great attitude and always trying to improve. I saw big improvement game after game and the most important is the great respect the other teams show to Nederland all the time during every game. This is a new team with a lot of new players. This team doesn’t have limits and I hope next year they continue with the same attitude and professionalism. Now it is really important they take a break and I hope to see everyone in the next season. It is my pleasure and my honor to work with all of you. Also I want to say to all the families thank you for their great help and support. You are an important part of this team.”

Team captain Zahara Craig says,“These girls are the most hardworking teammates I have ever seen. It was amazing to see everyone grow from the first practice to now. I loved playing with them and watching them become better and better everyday. It is very hard for me to be leaving this year because I have never so comfortable and happy playing soccer before. Even though we don’t win the majority of the games we play, everyone still knows how to have fun and understand that we all played to the best of our ability. A win isn’t everything in soccer, it’s the little things that helped us grow as a team that were the most important. Thank you guys for such an amazing first year of soccer as a Panther! They will hold a very special place in my heart.”

All of the ladies did a great job this season, keep up the great work Panthers!
