The Kindergarten class at Nederland Elementary School held their continuation ceremony on May 19, 2023. It was time to celebrate with the students, teachers, and families moving on to first grade. This class has had an amazing year with their teachers Mary and Rick Waddell.

The Kindergarteners practiced diligently on their poem and songs that they performed for their families. They sang and learned sign language to “With My Own Two Hands” and they sang “ABC You Later.”

The students then shared what they are thinking they want to do when they grow up and how they will help the world. If they were nervous to speak to in front of a crowd you could not tell. All the students spoke clearly and confidently.

It was then time to receive a certificate for successfully completing Kindergarten at Nederland Elementary School from Principal Caleb Melamed.

The kids were, of course, very excited about the snacks that were served at the end. Congratulations Kindergarteners and we know you will be fantastic first graders!
