Ken was born in Hayward, CA. He grew up in Twain Harte in the Sierra foothills and raised his daughters in the Central Valley. He moved to Colorado 25 years ago and has resided in Nederland the last 10 years.

Ken was an amazing chef, writer, artist, singer and actor. He was a great teacher to all he came in contact with. He and his grandson Kyler were best of friends. He was a wonderful father to two daughters Michelle Dennis and Danielle Knollenberg and six grandchildren. Ken passed peacefully in his sleep last Thursday with family by his side. He will be deeply and forever missed by those he loved and who loved him.
A celebration honoring Kenneth was held on Thursday, August 15 . The gathering featured an opportunity to view his art and writings, and to enjoy some food and drinks together in his spirit.
