It is with deep sadness that we announce that Keith E. Larsen, beloved husband, passed away on March 4, 2021.
Keith was born in Chicago, Illinois, on May 1, 1948, to Arthur and Regina Bitterman. He is survived by his lovely wife, Gloria-Jean and one sister, Arline Killingsworth of Phoenix, Arizona, and two nieces and nephews.
Both Keith and Gloria retired in 2009. Keith worked as a Maintenance Technician for Boulder County Jail and Gloria worked as an Administrative Technician for the Department of Social Services.
Keith and Gloria have resided in Nederland for over 50 years. Keith loved to fish, hike, and bicycle. Most of all, he loved to repair and restore bicycles that were discarded by others. He would then donate them to Goodwill, Salvation Army and Community Cycles. He also gave bicycles away to needy children and families in the area.
In closing, as Keith would say with a big smile on his face, “Happy Trails.”
In lieu of a more formal funeral service, Keith wanted a Celebration of Life service which will be held on Wednesday, July 7, 2021, at 10 a.m., at the Train Cars patio which is located in the Caribou Village Shopping Center. Family, friends, and neighbors, who wish to, will then drive to Mud Lake for a hike. Afterwards there will be refreshments at the Nederland Community Center.
