Justin Kluck is an artist. About five or six years ago Justin began to try his hand at metal sculpture and instantly was hooked. Sculpting is an outlet. It has great challenges both mentally and physically. Kluck says, “It can feel like you’re searching for a puzzle piece without a shape that you must create…. It’s maddening and exciting at once!”
It’s also a fun challenge finding ways to blend different welding techniques with various welding rods to bring out textures and personality that are needed for each piece.Kluck has discovered styles not functional in the production welding field that look a certain way that are functional in art.
He has always had his pieces out for show in his home, but displaying them in public is something new. He sculpted a piece that is now on display at the Last Stand Tavern in Coal Creek Canyon. And he has more pieces on display at the newly opened Kaleidoscope Fine Arts Gallery in Nederland.
Kluck says, “The encouragement that people have given me to get my work out into the world has been very powerful. I feel like this is an exciting time, and I hope to continue creating these metal sculptures for people to enjoy!”
