On 6-1-18 at approximately 5 p.m., at the Gilpin County Jail, an individual was found to have two active warrants. The warrants were confirmed and the individual was taken into custody and booked into the Gilpin County Jail without incident.


On 6- 1-18 a vehicle eluded a Gilpin County deputy on Highway 119 near mile marker 17. The deputy did obtain evidence and the investigation continues.


On 6-1-18 deputies assisted Colorado State Patrol with a single vehicle DUI crash on Highway 119 at mile marker 19.2.


On 6-2-18 a deputy conducted a traffic stop on Highway 119 south of Black Hawk. The driver was issued a summons for driving on a restrained license.


On 6-2-18 a deputy took a crash report on a vehicle versus deer on the Central City Pkwy. No one was injured in the crash.


On 6-2-18 at approximately 9:33 a.m., a deputy assisted the City of Black Hawk Police Department regarding a possible violation of a protection order, in the parking lot between North Clear Creek and Highway 119 and between Selak Street and Chase Street, located in the incorporated City of Black Hawk, Colorado, 80422. The male party involved in the incident was arrested and a case report was later completed.


On 6-2-18 a deputy conducted a welfare check on a party inside the Grand Z Parking Garage. The party was intoxicated and was told not to drive. The party was later seen driving on the Central City Parkway and was arrested for driving while under the influence of alcohol.


On 6-2-18 a deputy took a report of a criminal mischief that occurred in the 100 block of Mountain Meadows Drive. An investigation is underway.


On 6-2-18 a deputy responded to the 400 block of South Beaver Creek Road on a report of a house that had been broken into. An investigation has been started.


On 6-2-18 a deputy conducted a traffic stop in Rollinsville and the driver was issued a summons.


On 6-2-18 a deputy stopped a vehicle for having a burnt out brake light. The driver of the vehicle was deemed intoxicated. The driver was arrested, booked into the jail and released to a sober party on a summons.


On 6-2-18 at approximately 6:37 p.m., a deputy responded to a residential address located in Rollinsville on the report of a cold assault. A suspect was identified and a male party was later arrested.


On 6-2-18 a deputy responded to the Coyote Motel on the report of found property.


On 6-2-18 a deputy contacted a suspicious vehicle in the Century Casino Parking Garage. Two parties were issued a summons for use of marijuana in public and one party was arrested for an outstanding warrant.

On 6-3-18 a deputy conducted a traffic stop in the Red Dolly Casino Parking Lot. The driver was later arrested for DUID and possession of a controlled substance.


On 6-3-18 a deputy responded to Johnny Zs Casino for the report of a counterfeit $10 bill.

On 6-3-18 a deputy contacted a vehicle on the Central City Pkwy. The vehicle was stolen according to the Denver Police Department. Two parties were arrested out of the vehicle for numerous felony and misdemeanor charges.

On 6-4-18 a deputy stopped a vehicle for a defective taillight. The driver of the vehicle had a warrant and was booked into jail.

On 6-4-18 at 8:18 a.m., a deputy responded to the 200 block of Casey Street, Central City CO 80422 on a missing person report. An investigation was initiated.

On 6-4-18 at approximately 9:18 a.m., a deputy working their assigned shift at the Gilpin County Jail, located in Black Hawk, arrested one adult male and had him booked into the Gilpin County Jail on a warrant with out incident.

On 6-4-18 a deputy received a report of criminal mischief at the Central City Post Office. A suspect could not be identified.

On 6-5-18 a deputy responded to Johnny Z’s Casino on the report of a trespass. The party had been permanently 86ed from the casino. The male was issued a summons for trespassing.


On 6-5-18 a deputy was conducting an area check of the Grand Z Casino Parking Garage and contacted a suspicious vehicle. A male party was arrested for violation of a protection order.


On 6-6-18 a male party was contacted in the court lobby of the Justice Center who had an active warrant for his arrest. The male party was arrested and escorted to the jail without incident.


On 6-6-18 at approximately 3:50 p.m., a person arrived to the Gilpin County Sheriff’s Office who had a warrant for their arrest. The person was arrested and brought to the Gilpin County Detention Facility for processing.


On 6-6-18 at approximately 7:40 p.m., a male and female party came to the Gilpin County Jail to visit an inmate. Upon doing a clearance of their information, a Jefferson County Mandatory Protection Order was found restricting the male from having contact with the female. The male was arrested and processed into the jail.


On 6-6-18 a deputy identified a male party with an active warrant, took him into custody and processed him without incident.


On 6-6-18 at approximately 1:32 p.m., a Gilpin deputy attempted to stop several motorcycles on the Central City Parkway. Two motorcycles were stopped and the other fled only to be located a mile away. Tickets were issued.


On 6-7-18 at approximately 12:01 a.m., a deputy was dispatched to Highway 119, mile post 4, unincorporated Gilpin County Colorado 80422 to assist the Colorado State Patrol on a traffic stop. During the traffic stop the deputy cleared the single male passenger in the vehicle and the male party was found to have a warrant for his arrest. A case report was completed.


On 6-7-18 at approximately 1:32 a.m., a Gilpin deputy attempted to stop numerous motorcycles. The motorcycles that fled were issued summons for eluding.


On 6-7-18 at approximately 4:27 p.m., an inmate who was being bonded was found to have two additional active warrants. The warrants were confirmed and the inmate was booked back into the Gilpin County Jail without incident.


On 6-7-18 at approximately 5:46 p.m., a deputy conducted a traffic stop on the Central City Parkway. The driver was later found to be displaying fictitious license plates on the vehicle and was issued a summons.

On 6-7-18 at approximately 6:54 p.m., a deputy responded to Johnny Zs casino on the report of a counterfeit $50 bill. The bill was seized and later processed into evidence.

On 6-7-18 at approximately 7:15 p.m., a deputy responded to a cold assault call. Upon investigating the call, a party involved in the altercation was arrested and booked into the Gilpin County Jail.

On 6-8-18 at approximately 3:07 a.m., a deputy took a report for found drug paraphernalia.

On 6-8-18 at 8:58 a.m., a deputy responded to Highway 46 and Mountain House Road on the report of opened mail being located in the area. The deputy located the mail and determined that it was from Golden Gate Canyon and Bear Paw Rd, in Jefferson County.

On 6-8-18 at approximately 1:19 p.m., a deputy was contacted by a male party who stated he found a credit card on the northern sidewalk, in the area of the 100 Block of Gregory Street. The credit card was logged into evidence for safe keeping and a case report was completed.

On 6-8-18 at 2:00 p.m., a deputy met with a party wanting to report his cell phone as stolen. He provided information that the phone was stolen from a casino in the 300 block of Gregory Street, Central City CO 80427. He also reported that it was stolen a week prior. A report was taken.

0n 6-8-18 at approximately 2:00 p.m., a deputy working their assigned shift at the Gilpin County Jail arrested one adult male and had him booked into the Gilpin County Jail on a warrant without incident.

On 6-8-18 a deputy conducted a traffic stop on Highway 72. The driver was issued a summons and arrested for two warrants.

On 6-8-18, a deputy conducted a traffic stop on Lake Gulch Road. The driver was later arrested for DUI.

On 6-8-18 at approximately 11:42 p.m., a deputy conducted a traffic stop in Central City. The driver was later found to not have a valid driver’s license and issued a summons.

On 6-9-18 a deputy responded to a call of a party unconscious, not breathing. The party was deceased upon arrival. No foul play is suspected.

On 6-9-18 a deputy stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation. The driver was later released on a summons.

On 6-9-18 a deputy contacted a party in approximately the 100 block of Prosser Street, Gilpin County Central City, CO 80427. This party was found to have several active warrants. The party was arrested and was charged with violation of a protection order and possession of drug paraphernalia. A report was later completed.

On 6-9-18 at approximately 8:10 p.m., a Gilpin deputy took a report of persistently barking dogs.

On 6-9-18 a deputy stopped a vehicle for weaving. The driver did not have a valid driver’s license and was issued a summons.

On 6-10-18 a deputy conducted a traffic stop on the Central City Pkwy and the driver was later arrested for DUI.

On 6-10-18 at approximately 2:28 a.m., a deputy conducted a welfare check on a vehicle parked on Upper Apex Valley Rd. An occupant of the vehicle was later found to have an active warrant and was placed under arrest.

On 6-10-18 at 7:55 a.m., a deputy responded to a casino located in the 300 block of Gregory St, Central City CO 80427, on a drug call. Investigation disclosed that security at the casino had located an unattended purse on the property which contained drug paraphernalia. A report was completed.

On 6-10-18 at approximately 8:00 a.m., a deputy took a phone report of a criminal mischief that occurred in a forested area in mid-county. There are no suspects at this time.

On 6-10-18 at 8:35 a.m., a deputy responded to a parking garage located in the 100 block of Lawrence St, Central City CO 80427 in reference to a private property accident. A report was taken.

On 6-10-18 a deputy conducted a traffic stop in Rollinsville and the driver was issued a summons for driving on a restrained license.

On 6-10-18 a deputy conducted a traffic stop in the Coyote Motel Parking Lot. The driver was issued a summons and the vehicle was impounded.

On 6-10-18 a deputy observed damage to a patrol vehicle.

On 6-10-18 at approximately 9:00 a.m., a Gilpin County Sheriff’s Office deputy received a telephone call from the Greenwood Village Police Department. While speaking with the detective, he told the deputy he was investigating a person for a series of burglaries in their area who goes by two names. Both named persons pawned articles at Blackjack Pawn.

On 6-12-18 a deputy conducted a traffic stop on Gregory Street in Central City. The driver was issued a summons for driving on a restrained license.

On 6-12-18 at approximately 9:43 a.m., an investigator took an informational report of criminal mischief that occurred at 655 Pinon Circle, Black Hawk, unincorporated Gilpin County 80422.

On 6-12-18 at approximately 10:05 a.m., a deputy responded to the Central City Post Office on a criminal mischief vandalism call.

On 6-12-18 at approximately 1:10 p.m., a deputy took a report of harassment occurring in north county. An investigation was begun.

On 6-12-18 at approximately 6:49 p.m., a deputy was dispatched to the intersection of Black Gulch Road and Hwy 72, unincorporated Gilpin County Colorado, 80403, on a report of an abandoned vehicle partially in the roadway. The vehicle was towed off the roadway and a case report was completed.

On 6-12-18 a deputy conducted a traffic stop on the Central City Pkwy and the driver was later arrested for DWAI.

On 6-12-18 a Gilpin deputy responded to the fair grounds and investigated a theft. A report was filed.

On 6-13-18 at approximately 2:23 p.m., a deputy responded to a cold trespass call at the 900 block of Pewabic Mountain Rd., Central City, Colorado.

On 6-13-18, deputies responded to a rollover accident in the 6900 block of the Central City Parkway. The driver was transported to St. Anthonys hospital and later issued a summons. Reports were later completed.


On 6-14-18 at 9:22 a.m., a deputy responded to a suspicious party with a tire iron on the 3500 block of Upper Apex Valley Rd. The party provided a false name and after investigation, had 6 active warrants. The party was taken to the Gilpin County Jail.


On 6-15-18 a deputy took a report regarding criminal mischief that occurred two days prior in the Grand Z parking garage. The case is under investigation.


On 6-15-18, at approximately 9:40 a.m., a person arrived to the Gilpin County Courthouse with an active, valid warrant for their arrest. The person was brought to the Gilpin County Detention Facility for processing.


On 6-15-18, at approximately 9:55 a.m., a person arrived to the Gilpin County Courthouse who had a warrant for their arrest. The person was brought to the Gilpin County Detention Facility for processing.


On 6-15-18 a deputy was contacted for a cold theft that occurred at the Grand Z Casino in Central City. Speaking with the reporting party, a camera and all the equipment was stolen.

On 6-15-18 the reporting party called back to inform the deputy that the camera was found.


On 6-15-18 at approximately 11:23 p.m., a Gilpin deputy stopped a motorist for weaving and impeding traffic, in the area of Highway 119 and Gold Road. Investigation revealed the driver was mixing alcohol and prescription medication. The driver was arrested for DUID and booked into the Gilpin Jail.


On 6-16-18 a deputy conducted a traffic stop in the 100 block of Richman Street, Black Hawk, Gilpin County, CO 80422. The driver was issued a summons, the vehicle was towed and a report was later completed.


On 6-16-18 a deputy conducted a traffic stop in the Century Casino Parking Garage. The driver was issued a summons for driving on a revoked license.


On 6-16-18 a deputy stopped a vehicle because the expiration of the license plate did not match DMV records. The plate was fictitious and the driver was issued a summons.


On 6-16-18 a deputy took a report of a dog at large complaint in the 100 Block of Nero Rd. The dog owner was later issued a summons.


On 6-16-18 at approximately 8:57 p.m., deputies responded to a disturbance within Central City. A male party was later arrested for charges related to assault and criminal mischief.


On 6-17-18 at 8:48 p.m., deputies and a State Trooper contacted a party walking in the roadway of Highway 119 in unincorporated Gilpin County CO 80422. The party was belligerent and combative toward law enforcement. After a brief struggle, the party was taken into protective custody. The party was determined to be a danger to himself. He was later transported to a hospital for a mental health evaluation.


On 6-17-18 at approximately 4:00 p.m., a Gilpin deputy took a report of an unwanted female at a local residence.


On 6-17-18 a deputy conducted a traffic stop in Central City. The driver was arrested for a warrant and issued a summons for driving without a valid license and no insurance.


On 6-17-18 a deputy conducted a welfare check in the Century Casino Parking Garage. A female party was later arrested for three warrants.


On 6-18-18 a deputy conducted a welfare check in the Grand Z Casino Parking Garage. The driver of the vehicle was arrested for DUI.


On 6-18-18 a deputy stopped a driver for a cracked windshield. The driver did not have a valid driver’s license and had been stopped two prior times for the same offense. The driver was arrested and booked into the Gilpin County Jail.


On 6-18-18 at approximately 11:31 a.m., a party arrived at the Gilpin County Sheriff’s Office lobby for finger printing. A deputy found that the partys driver license was cancel/deny. A proof of service was issued for a cancel/deny license.

On 6-19-18 a deputy contacted a party who had an outstanding warrant. The party had extreme medical issues and was transported to the hospital.

On 6-19-18 at 6:16 p.m., a male party turned himself into the Gilpin County Jail for two active warrants out of Gilpin County without incident.

On 6-19-18 at approximately 8:26 p.m., a deputy took a report of a dog bite that occurred at 201 Quartz Rd in unincorporated Gilpin County.

On 6-18-18 at approximately 10:10 p.m., a deputy conducted a traffic stop in the 100 block of Eureka Street, Central City. The driver was found to be suspended and investigated for driving under the influence of Alcohol and/or drugs. The male driver was processed through the Gilpin County Jail without incident. A case report was completed.

On 6-19-18 a deputy conducted a traffic stop on the Central City Pkwy. The driver did not have an interlock device as required and his license was suspended.

On 6-19-18 at approximately 11:59 p.m., an active, valid warrant was discovered for a person in custody at the Gilpin County Detention Facility. The person was arrested and processed on the warrant.

On 6-19-18 at approximately 2:46 p.m., deputies responded to the Grand Z Casino to retrieve found drugs. Drugs were taken and submitted into evidence to be destroyed.

On 6-19-18 a deputy conducted a traffic stop in Rollinsville. The driver was issued a summons for driving on a revoked license.

On 6-19-18 a deputy conducted a traffic stop on south Highway 119. The driver was issued a summons for driving on a suspended license.

On 6-20-18 a deputy conducted a traffic stop on Highway 119 at mile marker 7.3. The driver was later arrested for DUI.

On 6-19-18 a deputy took a report concerning a neighbor dispute.

On 6-20-18 at approximately 8:00 a.m., an M-1 hold was placed on a subject recently released from the detention facility. The subject was transferred to the hospital for evaluation.

On 6-19-18 a deputy assisted another agency with a false information to a pawn broker investigation.

On 6-19-18 at approximately 4:37 p.m., a Gilpin deputy assisted State Patrol with a DUI traffic accident on Highway 119.

On 6-21-18 at approximately 3:15 p.m., a deputy responded to Central City Pkwy on a motorcycle injury accident. The driver was transported to St Anthony’s for his injuries.

On 6-22-18 at approximately 4:31 p.m., a Gilpin deputy was dispatched to a reported theft from a motor vehicle. A report was taken.

On 6-22-18 at approximately 5:00 p.m., a Gilpin deputy contacted a male whose Colorado driver’s license was suspended. The deputy Issued him a proof of service and took his driver’s license.

On 6-22-18 at approximately 5:20 p.m., a Gilpin deputy stopped a car for speeding on Highway 119 in the Rollinsville area. Investigation revealed the driver was under the influence of drugs, and he was arrested and booked into the Gilpin County Jail.

On 6-22-18 at 5:22 p.m., a party came to the Gilpin County Sheriff’s Office to report fraudulent activity on his credit card. A report was taken.

On 6-22-18 a deputy conducted a traffic stop in Pinecliffe on Highway 72. The driver was issued a summons for driving on a revoked license and a female passenger was arrested for a warrant.

On 6-23-18 at 1:09 a.m., an inmate currently in the Gilpin County Detention Facility was found to have an active warrant.

On 6-23-18 a deputy stopped a vehicle for speeding. The driver did not have a valid driver’s license, had an outstanding warrant and was believed to be under the influence of a drug.

On 6-23-18 at approximately 3:30 p.m., deputies took a report on an OHV accident which took place on the 700 block of Columbine Campground Road in unincorporated Gilpin County 80422.

On 6-23-18 a deputy stopped a motorcycle in the 6000 block of the Central City Parkway for having expired number plates. It was later determined that the license plate on the motorcycle was fictitious. The plate was collected and the driver was issued a summons.

On 6-23-18 a deputy responded to the 2600 block of Missouri Gulch Road, Gilpin County, Black Hawk, CO 80422, on a report of a shooting complaint. One party was issued a summons for prohibited use of weapons and another party was issued a summons for theft. A report was later completed.

On 6-23-18 at approximately 5:38 p.m., a male arrestee was brought to the Gilpin County Jail, for a breath test relating to a Driving under Influence investigation.

On 6-23-18 a deputy conducted a traffic stop on Highway 119 in front of Gilpin County School. The driver was issued a summons for driving on a revoked license. A passenger in the vehicle was arrested for possession of methamphetamine.

On 6-23-18 at approximately 10:45 p.m., a Gilpin deputy contacted a male whose Colorado drivers license was suspended. The deputy Issued him a proof of service and took his drivers license.

On 6-24-18 at approximately 4:55 a.m., a deputy arrested and took into custody a female party who turned herself in on an active warrant.

On 6-24-18 a deputy stopped a vehicle because the license plates were drawn in Sharpie marker. The license plates were fictitious and the driver did not have a valid drivers license.


On 6-24-18 at approximately 2:00 p.m., deputies took a report on a missing person. The missing person was reported on the 100 block of Nevada St, Central City, in unincorporated Gilpin County 80427.


On 6-24-18 a deputy conducted a traffic stop in the Century parking garage. The driver was issued a summons for speeding, no proof of insurance and driving a motor vehicle when license under restraint.


On 6-24-18 at approximately 7:50 p.m., a Gilpin deputy took a report of a counterfeit $20 bill. A report was made.


On 6-24-18 a deputy conducted a traffic stop on south Highway 119 and the driver was later arrested for DUI.


On 6-25-18 a deputy served a summons to a party for not having a proper license for dumping.


On 6-25-18 at 3:00 p.m., a motorist was stopped for a traffic violation in the 300 block of Gregory St. Central City CO 80427. The driver was found to have a revoked license. She was cited and released.


On 6-25-18 a deputy took a report of a dog at large at the intersection of Meadow Lake Drive and Berrybush Lane. The dog owner was issued a summons.


On 6-26-18 a deputy conducted a traffic stop in the 100 Block of Hughesville Road. The driver was arrested for felony DUI and possession of methamphetamine. The passenger was arrested for a warrant out of Black Hawk.


On 6-26-18 a deputy took a fraud report.

On 6-26-18 at approximately 1:37 p.m., a deputy responded to a cold hit and run accident that occurred in the Century Casino parking garage. Both parties were contacted and a report was taken.

On 6-28-18 at approximately 12:55 a.m., deputies responded to a disturbance at the Gold Mountain Village. When deputies arrived, a male party fled the scene. A search for the male party was conducted but deputies were unable to locate the party. A short time later deputies were informed the male party had returned. The male party was arrested and booked into the Gilpin County Jail.

On 6-28-18 a deputy responded to a report of a theft in the 4000 block of Smith Hill Road. A report was taken.

On 6-28-18 at approximately 4:08 p.m., a Gilpin deputy took a report of a trespass in the Chalet Park subdivision.

On 6-28-18 at approximately 8:51 p.m., an individual reported to the Gilpin County Sheriffs Office on a known warrant. The individual was cleared through dispatch and a valid Gilpin County warrant was found. The individual was taken into custody and booked into the Gilpin County Jail without incident.

On 6-29-18 at approximately 1:45 p.m., a deputy was dispatched to a cold assault in the Russel Gulch area. After meeting with the victim and investigating, the deputy learned a crime had been committed and the suspect had left the area. The deputy completed a report and arrest warrant affidavit.

On 6-29-18 at approximately 2:56 a.m., deputies assisted the Colorado State Patrol in attempting to locate a stolen vehicle. A deputy located the vehicle abandoned on Columbine Campground Road. The vehicle was recovered by the Colorado State Patrol.

On 6-29-18 at approximately 2:00 p.m., a deputy working an assigned shift at the Gilpin County Jail arrested one adult male and had him booked into the Gilpin County Jail on a warrant with out incident.

On 6-29-18 a deputy conducted a traffic stop on Highway 119 at mile marker 5.2. The driver of the vehicle was later arrested for DUI.

On 6-30-18 a deputy was conducting an area check of the Grand Z Casino Parking Garage, when he observed two suspicious vehicles on level one. One party was arrested for possession of meth and being under the influence of meth.

On 6-30-18 at approximately 12:45 p.m., a warrant was located on a woman as a result of a shooting violation investigation. The woman was arrested on the warrant without incident.

On 6-30-18 at approximately 12:00 p.m., a deputy was dispatched to a shooting complaint in approximately the 3000 block of Missouri Gulch Road, located in unincorporated Gilpin County, Colorado, 80422. A male party contacted at the location of the shooting had his driving privileges canceled/denied. His Colorado Drivers License was confiscated, to be later returned to the Colorado Department of Revenue. A case report was completed.

On 6-30-18 at approximately 12:45 p.m., a stolen gun was located as a result of a shooting violation investigation. The incident took place at approximately the 3000 block of Missouri Gulch Rd, Black Hawk Colorado, 80422 in unincorporated Gilpin County. The gun was seized and placed into evidence.

On 6-30-18 at approximately 2:55 p.m., a stolen vehicle was located at approximately the 700 block of Fence Line Road Black Hawk Colorado, 80422 in unincorporated Gilpin County. The vehicle was towed, and the registered owner was contacted.

On 6-30-18 a Gilpin deputy found an adult male smoking marijuana in public, outside a local casino. The male argued, was uncooperative and was eventually issued a summons for Public Consumption of Marijuana then released.

On 6-30-18 at approximately 8:10 p.m., a deputy responded to a shooting complaint near Pickle Gulch Campground. The deputy contacted 4 parties that were recreationally shooting. The deputy cleared the firearms used and one of the firearms was reported as stolen. The party who admitted to bringing the firearm stated he had borrowed it earlier in the day from a friend. The party was issued a summons to appear in court. Everyone involved was issued a warning for the violations of the rules pertaining to recreationally shooting as well as violating the fire ban.

On 6-30-18 at approximately 9:40 p.m., a deputy responded to a report of a fire ban violation on Taylor Drive. The deputy located the fire as the parties were attempting to put it out. The deputy issued a summons for violating the fire ban and Timberline Fire ensured the fire was completely out.

On 6-30-18 at approximately 10:46 p.m., a male inmate currently in custody at the Gilpin County Detention Facility was found to have an active out-of-county warrant.
