June Gilpin County Police reports

police reportsOn 6/1/16 a Deputy contacted a party on a welfare check. Party was booked into jail for active warrants.

On 6/1/16 at approximately 1:00p.m. a Deputy received information of a male and female in the area of Rollinsville that were wanted on warrants.  The Deputy found the 2 parties at a residence in Rollinsville, and both were taken into custody, and subsequently booked into the Gilpin County Jail without incident.  A case report was completed.

On 6/2/16 at approximately 11:30 a.m. a Deputy was dispatched to an address on Dowdle Dr. located in unincorporated Gilpin County, Colorado, on a report of a possible trespassing.  A case report was completed.

On 6/2/16 at approximately 9:20 p.m. a Deputy made contact with a party whose Colorado driver`s license was under restraint. The deputy seized the license and served the party with a Proof of Service form.

On 6/4/16 a Deputy conducted a traffic stop and several open bottles of alcohol where found inside the vehicle

On 6/4/16 at approximately 1:00 p.m., property was found in the Gilpin County Jail property room that did not belong to a current inmate. An attempt was made to contact the parties, but was unsuccessful. The property has been kept beyond the required seven days. The property was placed in evidence and marked for destruction.

On 6/4/16 at approximately 7:10 p.m. Deputies conducted a traffic stop and issued a summons for driving while license suspended.

On 6/4/16 Deputies responded to the 700 block of Eureka Street on a single vehicle accident.

On 6/5/16 Deputies conducted a traffic stop and issued a summons for driving while license under restraint.

A Deputy was dispatched to a call of a non-responsive unconscious male party who was later pronounced dead at the scene.

On 6/14/16 at approximately 10:35am a Deputy cleared a male party through the NCIC/CCIC computer data system at the Gilpin County Sheriff`s Office located at 2960 Dory Hill Road, Black Hawk, Colorado 80422 within unincorporated Gilpin County. An active arrest warrant was found for the male party issued by the Denver Police Department. The male party was processed into the Gilpin County Detention Facility on the warrant without incident

On 6/14/16 at approximately 6:30p.m, a female party was booked into the Gilpin County Jail without incident for failure to appear on a controlled substance charge.

On 6/14/16 a male party was arrested in the lobby of the Gilpin County Sheriff`s Office located at 2960 Dory Hill Rd, Black Hawk, CO 80422 on two warrants. One was issued by the Black Hawk Police Department for Failure to Appear on a Harassment case, the other was issued by the Adams County Sheriff`s Office for Failure to Comply on a Possession of a Controlled Substance case. The male party was processed into the Gilpin County Detentions Center without incident.

On 6/15/16 an inmate in the Gilpin County Jail was investigated and charged with the Violation of a Protection Order, Criminal Attempt Violation of a Protection Order, and Domestic Violence after being informed of the criminal offense by a Gilpin County Sheriff`s Office Victim Advocate. The Victim Advocate was notified by the Protected Party of the protection orders. The inmate was processed again into the Gilpin County Jail without incident.

On 6/15/16 at approximately 11:30 am, a Deputy was dispatched to 125 Main St, located in the City of Central City, Gilpin County, Colorado 80427, regarding Criminal Mischief.  A case report was completed.

On 06/15/16 at approximately 2:30 p.m. a Deputy responded to the Reverends Ridge Camp Ground to cover a Parks Officer.

On 6/15/16 at approximately 9:00 p.m. a deputy observed damage of unknown origin on his assigned patrol truck and reported it to a supervisor.

On 6/15/16 at approximately 7:30 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to a crash near Columbine Campground. The victim / operator was transported by ambulance and a report was taken

On 6/15/16 at approximately 11:10 pm a Deputy took a report of a telephone harassment. An investigation was begun.

On 6/16/16 at approximately 6:20a.m. members of the Gilpin County Sheriff’s Office assisted Colorado State Patrol with a hit and run accident. The vehicle was located at an area residence. State Patrol took over the investigation.

On 6/16/16 a new inmate was being processed into the Gilpin County jail.  During the Booking process it was found that the inmate had a warrant out of another county.  The inmate was processed into the jail on the warrant without incident.

On 6/16/16, a Gilpin Deputy investigated a theft of a delivered package.  The package was stolen from the front door of a home located in the Colorado Sierra subdivision.  No suspects were located. A report was filed.

On 6/16/16 a Deputy was dispatched to the Central City Police Department regarding a reported sexual assault.

On 6/17/16 at approximately 7:00 a.m. a Deputy responded to a campground for a report of money stolen from the self-service

On 6/17/16 at approximately 6:00 p.m. a Deputy was dispatched to the 8000 Block of Tolland Road on a cold assault.  Upon arrival the alleged victim met with the deputy and described the incident.  It was determined that this was a Felony Menacing.  The area was checked but the suspect was not located, a License plate was given that matched the suspect vehicle.  Follow-up to be completed by investigators.

On 6/19/16 a Deputy responded to 6900 Central City Parkway on a motor vehicle accident.  One vehicle struck a deer.  There were no injuries.  A state accident report was completed

On 6/19/16 Deputies responded to the area of Missouri Flats Road, on the report of a criminal mischief.

On 6/20/16 at approximately 3:00 p.m. a Deputy took a report of a theft.  The deputy completed a report and forwarded the case to the Investigations Division for further investigation and possible charges.

On 6/20/16 Deputies attempted to apprehend a male party with several warrants. The male party ran on foot and was apprehended a short time later.

On 6/21/16 at approximately 8:30 a.m. a Gilpin Deputy contacted a vehicle for no license plates. The driver was arrested for an outstanding warrant out of Gilpin Combined Court. Driver was issued a summons for unregistered vehicle.

On 6/22/16 at approximately 12:27 p.m., Gilpin deputies took a report of a shooting complaint near Bald Mountain cemetery

On 06/22/16 at 1:30 p.m. a Deputy responded to the mailboxes on Smith Hill Road at Robinson Hill road for a report of criminal mischief.

On 6/23/16 at approximately 8:20 p.m. a Deputy conducted a traffic stop and arrested the driver for the investigation of Driving Under the Influence.

On 6/24/26 at approximately 5:37 a.m. Deputies were dispatched to the Reserve Casino, located at 321 Gregory Street, in the City of Central City, Gilpin County Colorado 80427, regarding a counterfeit hundred-dollar bill.

On 6/27/16 at approximately 4:20 p.m. a deputy responded to a call where a motorcycle had been reported stolen.  The deputy completed a report for the incident.  The deputy was later informed that the motorcycle had been recovered by the owner and had not been stolen.

On 6/28/16 at approximately 2:20 p.m. a male subject was booked into the Gilpin County Jail without incident on an active warrant out of Lakewood Police Department

On 6/28/16 Deputies responded to the Z-Stop Gas Station, on the report of an assault in progress.

On 6/28/16 at approximately 2:30 p.m. a Gilpin County Sheriff`s Office deputy spoke with a citizen who reported their keys stolen/missing

On 6/29/16 a Deputy conducted a traffic stop and the driver was issued a summons

On 6/29/16, at approximately 9:00 p.m. Deputies were dispatched to the 300 Block of Gregory Street in Central City, on a report of 3 male parties throwing rocks at a vehicle in the parking lot.  3 juveniles were contacted regarding the incident.  A case report was completed.

On 6/30/16 at approximately 9:05 a.m. a Deputy received a call for a harassment.

On 6/30/16 at approximately 9:20 p.m. deputies responded to a disturbance at the KOA Campground and took one party into custody who was later transported to a detox facility.

On 6/30/16 at approximately 10:30 p.m. a male arrestee was brought to the Gilpin County Jail for a breath test relating to a Driving under Influence investigation.
