On June 23, 2014, at age 49. Predeceased by his father, James Z. Wood, Sr. He is survived by his mother, Rose Wood; brother James Z. Wood, Jr.; sisters and brothers-in-law, Rosanne and Carl Worden, Pamela and Joseph Chiocca; nieces and nephews, Amanda Hailstone, Joseph (Kristel Underhilll) Worden, Adam (Erin) Worden, Michael and Tony Chiocca; great-nephew and nieces, Jacob Hailstone, Brynlee Worden and Sydney Hailstone and special pet, Molly.
If you met John Wood then you were his friend for life and his life's slogan was live for now. John moved to Colorado in 2003 and worked for CDI Corp. as a Systems Administrator. John also quickly became an accomplished Banjo Musician to all the local venues and festivals. John had a zest for life and always said "all good things in all good time."
His Funeral Mass was held Saturday, 11 a.m. at St. Columba Church, North St., Caledonia.
