Karen DeVincenzo, Jamestown. Morning tunes accompanied the pancake breakfast by the creek in Jamestown’s Town Park before the kazoo band led the parade down to the big park where Kate Farmer kicked off the afternoon festivities with the National Anthem. Pop-ups were sprinkled about where people parked their coolers and chairs and soaked up the afternoon sun and live music. The fire department set up a giant swimming pool for the kids, a wood-splitting competition was well attended, and the pie contest drew many eager customers after the judging was complete. There was even a cake walk! Fireworks lit up the night and many happy people went home with great raffle prizes.
