They say music is the Universal Language.
True, music can speak to all.
There are so many ways it touches us,
And language barriers fall.
Music can reflect our moods,
Quietly and gently comfort when sad.
It excites and energizes at times,
A military march can make our spirits glad.
We all like movies and TV shows,
The back-up music is always there.
This helps to stir our feelings,
Though many times we are unaware.
Leave it out and we realize
How much it helps to set the mood.
Carefully geared for each scene,
It is an asset you must conclude.
We choose the music we like the best,
So many types there are:
Easy listening, symphony, country,
Hymns, opera and many more.
No doubt music enriches our lives.
You do not need to be a musician you see.
But it brings much pleasure to all of us,
A world-wide language for all it can be.
