Dear Editor,
I recently met one of the new Boulder County Sheriff Animal Control Officers at the Barker Reservoir area. We discussed why the reservoir has NOT been designated as a “Voice and Sight” dog-friendly area. She suggested the way to get that designation was to petition or write the BOT of Nederland for them to request that status with the City of Boulder which controls that process. I am unsure if that is correct information, but many of us here desire a dog-friendly area and this certainly would be the appropriate place. I will be writing to the Board and hope many others will as well! Here is the URL to get familiar with the program: Voice and Sight Program / City of Boulder. And here is the email for contacting the Nederland Board of Trustees: townadmin@nederlandco.org
