As Nederland’s senior class of 2024 jump into their last year of high school they, along with their families, are being recognized by the school for their dedication and hard work. Recently, the seniors who participate in cross country, volleyball, and boys’ soccer were recognized at Senior Night.

The coaches of each sport thanked each athlete for their participation and leadership. This can be an emotional time as some of these athletes have worked with their coach since middle school.

This is also a time to recognize the families who have driven these young folks to practices for years, who have been to their many games and races in all kinds of weather, who have washed stinky uniforms, and bought seemingly endless shoes for growing feet. This is for the parents, grandparents, siblings, and friends who encouraged them to stick with it even when it hurt.

Congratulations seniors as you wrap up your fall sports seasons. Class of 2024 you have been a pleasure to watch on the court, on the field, and running cross country. Thank you families and coaches for your guidance and support.
