Let’s make the Nederland Holiday Lights Contest and Driving Tour a way to brighten our spirits as 2020 comes to a close.

Barbara Thielemann, Central City. Let’s make our little historic mountain town the Best Christmas Town on the Front Range. Start to plan NOW, commit positively to enhance your residence, home, business, windows, yards, and store fronts with holiday lights, garland, tinsel, decorations from Thanksgiving through New Year’s.

At this special time of the year, together let’s make Central City a destination place. A place visitors come to enjoy the bright and colorful Holiday Lights and decorations as they partake of great food from our restaurants, purchase items from our shops, overnight our B&B’s and hotels, worship in our churches, and gamble a few dollars as they view our town’s holiday atmosphere. Let’s make our lights brighter than any others around. Let’s demonstrate true Holiday spirit.

Together, let’s make the most of this GREAT Winter Wonderland opportunity in Central City. Remember to participate in the residence and business decorating contests.  Prizes: 1st $500; 2nd $300; and 3rd $200. Information at the Post Office.

These activities are encouraged by Main Street Central City, our Colorado Main Street Program. Seize the opportunity and let the Front Range folks learn about Colorado’s best kept secret. Share the good news of the Holiday Season.

Miracles happen when ordinary people get ‘it’ together. As 2020 closes let’s join together to make a difference. Stay safe, stay warm and stay healthy.
