The Gilpin County Food Pantry and Department of Human Services would like to extend the opportunity for you to help those in our community who could use an extra hand this Holiday season. We are sponsoring a food and gift drive.
You can help by:
Asking for a wish list of a child (17 & under this year) – wish lists will be available starting November 18
Gifts are due in our office by December 16
Donating stocking stuffers for kids 12 & under (also due December 16)
Donating food (see attached list)
Thanksgiving food by November 18 (3:30 p.m.)
Christmas food by December 16 (3:30 p.m.)
Donating money – (that would go for gifts for children or food for families)
Volunteering - We definitely can use help on:
November 21 (9 a.m. – 11 a.m.)
November 22 (1 p.m. – 4 p.m.)
December 16 - December 17 (various times)
December 19 (9 a.m. – 11 a.m.)
December 20 (1:30 p.m. – 4 p.m.)
December 27-December 30 (flexible hours) – going through our 9 Cares Donations

Yams or sweet potatoes – fresh or canned

Pie filling with pie crusts or frozen apple, cherry, pecan or pumpkin pies
