Dear Editor,
When a pipe burst and flooded the Blue Owl recently, it wasn’t just a bookstore that took a hit—it was a cornerstone of our town.
For years, Kimba and Jeff have created more than a place to buy books and enjoy ice cream. They’ve built a sanctuary in the heart of Nederland. A place where conversation flows as freely as the coffee, where anyone can walk in and feel seen, safe, and welcome.
Now, it’s our turn to show up for them.
As a close friend of Kimba and Jeff, I’ve started a book drive to help replenish the inventory they lost. When they reopen, I want their shelves to be full again—with stories, ideas, and hope.
If you have books to donate—any genre, new or used—I’ll gladly take them. You can drop them off at my house, or I can come pick them up. Just call or text me at 720-375-0590 or email joshD19811@gmail.com.
Let’s fill the Blue Owl with stories once more.
