Dear Editor,
I thought it ironic that at a Trump rally recently in New Hampshire, many in the audience were holding up posters that said “Live free or die!”
Trump may still live “free,” but there are 91 felony indictments in four different trials still pending on his docket. Will his 30 point lead in the polls over Nicki Haley vanish when he actually has to face up to his wrongdoing? Probably not since he was convicted of rape earlier this year, then convicted of fraud more recently. It didn’t shake their absolute loyalty. His base is so imbued with “replacement theory” that they see him as a form of savior…. Throwing red meat for his base, telling them that immigrants are “poisoning the blood of our country” (while two of his wives are immigrants).
Here’s another fun irony. About six months ago, after a rally, he went to a gun store where the proprietor showed him a gold-plated handgun with his likeness and the #45 (his presidency #) etched onto it. Trump said he wanted it a couple times on an open mike. Guess what. As an indicted felon, Trump cannot own any guns.
And he’s the one to save our country?
