Harvest Fest is returning for the fourth time, where the community comes together to celebrate a fruitful season of harvesting. Nederland Farmers Market (NFM) is in its sixth season and draws attention to the Boulder County farms that make their weekly boxes and events possible.

This year, in addition to the NFM produce booth, each market has two farms onsite selling their freshly picked goods - Benevolence Orchards & Gardens and Switch Gears Farm. All three booths will have plenty of seasonal produce on sale, including root vegetables that can be stored in cool places for several months.

This year’s big event on October 3rd has many attractions, including two pumpkin patches, yak rides, excavator contests (the kids can operate an excavator!), hot cider, roasted chiles, live music, adult drinking, and a variety of vendors - the most the market has ever had. Included in the 80 vendor booths will be food trucks and all of our Nederland area beer, wine, and spirit makers. You’ll be able to order beers from Busey Brews, Knotted Root, Very Nice, Howlin Wind. You can sip on wine from Augustina’s, or sample cocktails from Gold Dirt Distillery. This is the first time that these alcohol creators have all come together along the Peak to Peak.

The music starts at 10:30 a.m. with Andrew Cooney of Tenth Mountain Division, followed by High Country Hustle from noon to 3 p.m. This headliner from Durango is led by Nederland-raised Dennon Jones who played an active role in the music scene around here, through college. This band sells out theaters throughout Colorado, since winning the Band Contest at 2020 WinterWonderGrass. Their high energy delivery of bluegrass will make you move, groove, and appreciate the string instruments that surround us in these parts.

In addition to the many food and craft vendors the market has attracted this season, Harvest Fest will introduce new small businesses to the scene, including The Dynamite Shack (food truck), Grateful Grazing (charcuterie), Dusty Rose Mountain Boutique, Angel’s Perfect Pasta, Heart Beets, Kompass Apparel, and more. You can even get sushi from Temaki Tornado (food truck).

Eldora returns for their second year as Harvest Fest’s sponsor. Their booth will be bustling with activity, where they will be raffling off three pairs of mid-week ski tickets (all proceeds go to support Nederland Farmers Market - a 501c3 - and their programs to subsidize healthy food purchases). You can ask Eldora staff questions about the upcoming season and watch them distribute Eldora swag from the stage.

Nederland Farmers Market Board of Director volunteers will be in attendance to see through their successful season. Safety protocols will be in place, and security around the site, to ensure that everyone (of all ages) enjoys a memorable time. NFM sends out a huge round of thanks to their loyal customers, every community member who appreciates good food, art, and music, all of the volunteers who worked tirelessly on a weekly basis, and the sponsors which allowed the market to grow and thrive.
