Dear Editor,
As the dust settles after August 26th’s Nederland Jazz & Wine Festival, I am in a state of awe and gratitude. The morning was a whirlwind of local volunteers and staff working in unison to set the stage for Ned Jazz Wine 2023. The magic was palpable as the attendees arrived and music danced through the misty mountain air. Light tears filled my eyes as all of our hard work over the last year manifested before me.
Originally, I joined co-founder Stephanie Andelman and the Ned Jazz Wine team as a volunteer shortly before last year’s festival. As the Vendor Manager this year, I am thankful for the opportunity to be guided by Stephanie’s experience and overall festival operations knowledge. As a local, I appreciated the “local first” approach when procuring vendors before we opened it up to all of Colorado.
All in all, my experience working with Ned Jazz Wine provided me with an opportunity to grow, learn, and be of service to our mountain community. The day was a massive success for attendees, sponsors and vendors alike, weather and all. We couldn’t have done it without you!
We owe a huge thank you to Ned Area Seniors and all of our sponsors who aligned with our mission to bring value and create a positive impact in our community.
With gratitude and respect,
Sarah Bishop
