Dear Editor,
We’d like to give a big shout out to Nederland Public Works and Nicki and Patrick for taking such good care of the Nathan Lazarus skate park.
It was such a blessing that our kids had a place to go and something physical to do once the pandemic put a halt to their usual activities.
The skate park gave our young kids (boys and girls) a way to stay connected to friends and make new ones. They now have a hobby which has been super fun, given them exercise, and taught them perseverance and hard work. It also gave us parents the opportunity to connect as we watched them learn to Ollie, Nollie and Shuvit!
Nicki and Patrick have kept the park clean, patched, smooth, painted and safe. And, they are always friendly and encouraging.
