Bill Thibedeau, Gilpin County. The world is a little bit poorer on the news in last week’s Mountain-Ear that Clyde Burnett has died. Clyde has been such a strong soldier in the fight to recognize and adapt to climate change. A true scientist and humble man, he is one of my heroes. He is a model for us all.
In his late 90’s, one could say that he lived a full life. He had more to say, but such is life. My heartfelt thanks go out to Clyde for his tireless efforts to educate us all through his Climate Conversations column. He made a difference by how he lived his life. He got us this far; It’s up to us, now, to carry the torch and turn back toward planet saving measures. Big percentages of the population want this. It starts by electing representatives who believe in science and honor Clyde’s heritage.
