Gold Hill was bustling with life on Monday, May 27, 2024, as people from all over the Peak to Peak region flocked to the dirt streets of the small mountain town to celebrate the Memorial Day Mountain Music Festival and Barbeque. The sound of live music filled the air as locals and tourists enjoyed the beer, food, and sunshine, and soaked in those beautiful views and vibes.
This year’s festival featured some of Colorado’s best bluegrass, folk, and country rock bands, including River Mann, Lundi Knight Trio, and The Gasoline Lollipops. The bands rocked the stage and got the large crowd to get up and dance, allowing attendees of all ages to sing loud and twirl in circles under the bright blue sky.
From noon to 5 p.m. the Gold Hill Inn served delicious smoked salmon and simmering apple cider brisket, with plenty of sumptuous side dishes and tantalizing beverages, including lagers, pilsners, hazy IPAs, pale ales, brown ales, and Pabst Blue Ribbon for if you’re feeling fancy.
The 2024 Gold Hill Memorial Day Mountain Music Festival and Barbeque was an amazing success thanks to the Gold Hill Inn, to all those who worked and volunteered their time, to all the courteous tourists and bicyclists traveling through, and to the gracious residents of Gold Hill.
