Like all the students at Gilpin High School, Ezra Williams has been a valued student at the school. Even though Ezra is relatively new to the community he has been accepted and successful in school and especially outstanding in extracurricular activities.
Ezra has been a team player since day one at Gilpin High School. His favorite part of the school is being a part of a team with friends and meeting new people, and this will also be what he misses most when he leaves. In the nearly three years Ezra has attended Gilpin he has been fully active all year long with sports, participating in football for two years, baseball and basketball every year. He was also in track for one year. Ezra made many good friends in just a short time, but the people closest to him are always his teammates in sports and his girlfriend.
While Ezra is doing just fine in school, he just isn’t as interested in the classes as other students may have been. However, Ezra has expressed much love for the teachers since they made their classes fun and truly cared about what they were teaching. His personal favorite teachers are Mr. Rouse, Ms. Vanhoose, Mr. Wuchter, and Mrs. Blake, all of whom motivate him to do his best in and out of school. This is shown with his great work ethic. Not only does Ezra work hard in school, and participate in sports all year round, but also works in his spare time at the Starbucks in the Horseshoe Casino in Black Hawk.
With graduation coming up, Ezra already has plans for after high school. Ezra’s current plan is to enlist in the military and soon after enroll in the police academy. Gilpin as a community wishes Ezra the best of luck.
