Deputy Ramsey volunteered much of his time at the school building a rock landscape, becoming the first school resource officer for the school, and bringing standard safety protocols and responses to the school. He held safety meetings often with first responders.
“I did want just to comment that Deputy Ramsey is a fine asset to Gilpin County,” said Superintendent David McKenzie. “And so, Deputy Ramsey, we’d just like to thank you for all you’ve done for students and staff at Gilpin County school.”
