Bonnie Albrecht, Gilpin Public Health Coordinator. Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment (CDPHE) released the new Dial 3.0 framework and public health order on March 23, 2021. The new Dial 3.0, effective March 24, 2021, put Gilpin County in Level Green. A summary is provided below of how the new dial affects businesses and individuals in the county.
The following changes are effective in Gilpin County under Dial 3.0’s Level Green at present. The state and county mask orders remain in effect, and in Gilpin County all residents and visitors are required to wear a mask in all indoor and outdoor public spaces when six feet distancing cannot be maintained.
Offices in Level Green may operate at 100% capacity.
Retail in Level Green may operate at 100% capacity.
Manufacturing in Level Green may operate at 100% capacity.
Restaurants in Level Green may operate at 100% capacity with six feet distancing.
Outdoor events in Level Green may operate at 100% capacity with six feet distancing.
Recreation in Level Green may operate at 100% with six feet distancing.
Outdoor guided activities in Level Green may operate in at 100% capacity with six feet distancing, subject to local limits.
Casinos, bars that do not serve food, indoor events, organized sports, and indoor camps may operate at 50% not to exceed 500 people in Level Green.
There is no longer a state limit on personal gathering sizes for Levels Green, Blue and Yellow. The state will follow CDC’s guidance on personal gatherings among vaccinated and unvaccinated people. The CDC still strongly recommends avoiding larger gatherings and crowds to prevent the spread of Covid-19.
Additionally, in Level Green, the 5 Star Certification program is suspended unless numbers increase and we are moved to a more restrictive level.
While this is a positive step in the right direction, we are not out of the woods yet. Gilpin County Public Health is asking residents to stay the course. Please continue to wear your mask, keep your distance and avoid gatherings for just a bit longer. We all need each other to do our part right now.
